Moran has authored several classic mountaineering texts and
guidebooks:-
THE MUNROS IN WINTER (1986/2011) reissued by Sandstone Press: the narrative of Martin's ascent of all the Munros within a single winter season is brought back to life with this superbly illustrated re-issue. Martin has written a new prologue telling how the trip changed his life as he moved to the Highlands to become a mountain guide. There is also an updated appendix of Munro marathons and records. The humour and romance of the original narrative will guarantee its status a classic mountain read.
