SCOTLAND - COURSES AND GUIDING

Scotland Courses - Winter Courses - Spring Courses

Our Scottish courses offer all the ingredients for a special mountain experience:

Scottish Mountain Guides Cuillin of Skye

Winter traverse of Sgurr a'Ghreadaidh on the Cuillin of Skye (Intro Winter Climber course-Feb 2006)

  • Location: the North West Highlands are the finest mountains in Britain; An Teallach, Liathach, the Cuillin - serrated ridges standing in majestic isolation above the sea
  • Variety of venues: on our courses we go to a different mountain every day -
  • A wilderness experience: in other areas you may share the hills with hundreds; on our winter courses you may not see another party all week!
  • Challenge and adventure: climbing in the North West is tougher and more adventurous than elsewhere; our guides relish the challenge of a long ridge or icy gully
  • Local expertise: our unmatched local experience includes over 50 traverses of the Cuillin Ridge and 100 new routes with our climbing groups
  • Home Comforts: we provide excellent lodgings with home-cooked meals and personal service

Our Base: Lochcarron is centrally placed to access all the great peaks of Torridon, Kintail, the North-West Highlands and Skye. The Cairngorms and Ben Nevis are also within our compass. Our main winter courses are based at the luxury house 'Benalbanach' which sleeps 10 in single, twin and double rooms. All courses are fully catered with delicious home-cooked dinners. At quieter times of the year we arrange high-quality full-board guest house accommodation for our course clients.
